In our Notre-Dame food tour, we echo a sentiment from Brillat-Savarin's The Physiology of Taste: "The discovery of a new dish does more for the happiness of mankind than the discovery of a star."

We believe in the joy of uncovering new culinary marvels and exploring the rich history of the places they come from. That’s why, in the heart of Paris, we've carefully selected expert artisans, including a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, for whom culinary excellence goes hand in hand with the joy of sharing their passion, craft, and knowledge, all while admiring some of Paris’ most beautiful landmarks.

On what we consider one of the most charming walks in Paris, stretching from the Place des Vosges to Notre-Dame de Paris, you will immerse yourself in the area's rich culinary heritage, where gastronomy, architecture and hospitality have played central roles for over a thousand years.

Detailed Overview of Notre-Dame

French Gastronomy and Wine Tour

What you will taste

You will taste a selection of traditional French specialties, including pastries, viennoiseries, pissaladière, pâté en croûte, quiche Lorraine, charcuteries, cheeses, and more, all crafted by expert artisans, including a Meilleur Ouvrier de France and renowned pastry chefs. You’ll also savor fine wines alongside small-batch farm treasures from Ardèche.

What you will see

The tour begins at the southern edge of Le Marais, where you'll explore the iconic Place des Vosges, the second oldest square in Paris. Just steps away, you’ll pass through a hidden door beneath the arcades leading to the gardens of l'Hôtel de Sully, the residence of Henry IV's finance Minister.

From there, you’ll discover the Église Saint-Paul, a stunning example of Baroque architecture designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the architect behind the Palace of Versailles.

Continuing on, you’ll wander through the charming Village Saint-Paul and walk by l'Hôtel de Sens, one of the few remaining examples of medieval Gothic architecture in Paris. Then, you’ll cross onto l'Île Saint-Louis, where you'll discover the peaceful and off-the-beaten-path Église Saint-Louis before heading to l'Île de la Cité, to conclude your tour in front of Notre-Dame de Paris.

What you will learn

Our expert guides will share fascinating insights into the French terroirs, the history of Parisian monuments, and the men and women behind them. You’ll discover the stories and anecdotes behind each product you taste, and how they shaped the Saint Paul and Notre Dame area into the rich gastronomic hub it is today, where excellence has its roots in the oldest centers of gastronomy in Paris.
